BENGALURU: When he is not studying, Arya Pudota, 18, teaches people how to grow organic vegetables. Inspired by his mother’s kitchen garden, this class 12 student has launched his own YouTube channel called `My organic farm’. The channel has over 1,300 followers and most of the videos he uploads draw over 7,000 to 8,000 views.
Arya has worked closely with state forest departments of Karnataka and Telangana to promote organic farming. In 2015, he led the United Nations Environment Programme and organized a campaign to promote sustainability in Cubbon Park. He distributed about 1,000 tomato saplings to morning walkers to plant them in their kitchen gardens.
A student of National Public School, Indiranagar, Arya is an organic farmer in his own right.
