AP Govt to subsidise cows to promote organic farming

Guntur: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to bring more land under natural farming to meet increasing demand for organic food and to get premium price to the farmers who cultivate paddy and other crops through natural farming. Following instructions of the government, the farmers started natural farming in 131 clusters in 13 districts in the state during the kharif.

The government has instructed farmers to start natural farming in another 160 clusters in state from the next kharif. Agriculture officials will soon hold a meeting with the farmers and motivate them to start natural farming and explain advantages of natural farming. They will identify some more clusters in all districts in the state.
