BioFach India, an offshoot of World Organic Trade Fair BioFach, Nurnberg, will organize an organic fair at Palace Grounds from November 29 to December 1.

The fourth edition of BioFach India 2012 is expected to attract visitors from production, manufacturing, trade and services and it is the single largest platform where stake-holders in the organic value chain congregate to network.

For the first time, BioFach India together with India Organic will have a dedicated “consumer connect corner” within the fair and is organised in collaboration with The Alternative, an online media platform focused on sustainable living.

The consumer connect corner will engage panelists comprising doctors, nutritionists and food experts on the benefits of organic food. Scientists and experts from agriculture universities will conduct workshops to help farmers, interested in organic farming, gain practical knowledge. Further, school children will be exposed to the goodness of organic food through a series of programmes.
A cooking demonstration and food festival will also be held during the fair to make the public aware about organic food, its benefits and how they could prepare it on a daily basis.

The main attraction of this year’s fair will be official pavilion from Germany. Many national & international exhibitors, state government pavilions and a large number of exhibitors across the globe have confirmed their participation.

There will be an international seminar on topics related to organic farming and agriculture and various eminent speakers are expected to take part.
