Boardroom to farmland: A corporate whiz’s journey

CHENNAI: Five years into a high-profile corporate career, Vinod Kumar decided to pause and consider whether the erratic sleeping hours, junk food and impossible deadlines were worth it. He took a year-long sabbatical, travelled across India and found it was an eye-opener. He realised his calling lay in the profession practised by his ancestors, and which he had not considered till then — farming.
