Distressed farmers destroy sugarcane crop in Karnataka

Two distressed sugarcane growers in the district destroyed their standing crop on Monday, as the sugar mills were delaying buying their produce.

While Kulle Gowda set his sugarcane crop ablaze at Bevinahalli on the outskirts of Mandya, Umesh destroyed his crop using a tractor at Uppinakere in Maddur taluk.
