Five Nalanda farmers to attend Gujarat conference

BIHARSHARIF: Rakesh Kumar of Nalanda Organic Vegetable Growers Federation ( NOVGF), who set a world record by producing highest yield of potato in 2011, and Sumant Kumar of Darveshpura village, who surpassed the previous world record of producing highest paddy yield in 2010, and were among five farmers from the state who received Krishi Karman award by Union agriculture minister in 2012, are among five farmers from Nalanda district who will participate at a three-day farmers’ conference at Ahmedabad starting on September 9. They are expected to be felicitated by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi at the conference.
