Invitation to Kisan Panchayet: Festival on folk rice and seed

April 30, 2015 0 Comments

Food is not to make you happy and healthy, now. It is a commodity, laced with pesticides, antibiotics, preservatives, hormones and other unwanted chemicals applied to reduce “pest”, to produce “more”, to appear big and glossy – rather than TASTY, FLAVORFUL, NUTRITIOUS & HEALTHY like – Folk crops. In spite of all odds, it is the Small Holder Farmers who are maintaining these treasures of diversity of folk crops and practicing sustainable, organic and ecological farming. These farmers who feed us hold the KEY to OUR SURVIVAL & ECOLOGICAL SECURITY. The Folk Rice and Seed Festival, Desi Dhan ‘O Beej Utsav, seeks to YOU to Engage, Connect & Cherish – with the 150 Small-Holder FARMERS from 6 states of Eastern India.
