It is always the same story. What is there in your backyard takes time to acknowledge, understand and value. And so it is that Sense Organics, an international fairtrade and organic kidswear brand from India that has been in the European market for well over two decades, finally makes its entry into home country.
“We were not sure if India was ready for it,” is how the company’s CEO, Sreeranga Rajan explains their decision. He has worked in the apparel industry in India and the U.K. for 16 years, and was instrumental in launching Fairtrade cotton in 2005. He has interacted with thousands of farmers in India and West Africa and witnessed the positive impact of fairtrade and organic farming practices.
