Navadarshanam is happy to announce a 4-day workshop on sustainable farming and permaculture principles from Thursday 19 June to Sunday 22 June 2014. The program is intended for anyone interested in growing food and is designed to provide a good understanding of the principles and techniques involved in sustainable farming. The program will have a significant focus on hands on work backed by class room sessions that will cover the underlying principles. Topics covered will include permaculture principles, low to zero input organic farming techniques, understanding soil, pest management, composting, seed saving, green house gardening, water harvesting, food forests etc.
Participants will be required to arrive on Wednesday evening or latest by 8am on Thursday. The sessions will begin at 9.00am on Thursday and end at 5pm on Sunday.
