There are many issues regarding food and farming that Dr. Shiva has worked on – sustainability, the international politics of food, how globalisation is destroying farmers lives and livelihoods, the problems of chemical farming, land grab, climate change, corporatisation of agriculture and so on. We believe that we should lose no opportunity to understand these issues and do what we can at both micro and macro levels to deal with them. We in cities cannot remain disconnected with the crises in food and farming which will definitely affect our future and that of our children.
