Vidarbha widows to oppose Govt. Mega Multi-Crore Nagpur Farm Expo ‘ Krishi Vasant’

***‘as part of protest and press the demand of giving this fund released for mega agriculture fair for food security of farm widows ,we are starting hunger strike before CICR Nagpur till mega expo is not cancelled’ Bebitai Bais president of Vidarbha farm Widows Association’***

Aid starved  10,000 farm widows and three million distressed vidarbha farmers who are committing suicides since 1995 due to  mounting debt and successive cotton crop failure in last ten years ,have urged union Govt. to spent more than Rs.45 Crore on so called  Biggest ever farm expo in the country from Feb 9-13 at CICR, Panjri (Nagpur )on Wardha Road  terming it as wasteful expenses and urging them to give this fund to 10,000 for rehabilitation dying vidarbha farm widows who are innocent victim of agrarian crisis due wrong policies and MNC owned technologies promoted of union Govt. ,Kishore Tiwari of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) activist group working for rights of cotton farmers and farm widows since 1997 in vidarbha region urged Govt. in a letter to Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar whose Brainchild is this mega expo.
