Agriculture Minister stresses on pulses, organic farming

October 17, 2015 Agartala: Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya has urged the farmers to shift from paddy to pulses and organic farming for making better profits. Speaking to reports after meeting Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Kundariya said that such a move would also benefit the common people in terms of health.

India: Government plans to achieve organic state status

October 15, 2015 Parliamentary secretary for industries and commerce Amenba Yaden stated that the state government has been promoting organic farming in a “big way” with a long term plan for achieving “total organic state status” which he said was “attractive to high value markets for export”.
